If you just started with the local business listing on GMB, then you can follow the below steps that clearly guide you step-by-step ways to create Google My Business Listing for your business.

Create Google My Business Map Listing – Follow Steps

Step 1: Visit Google My Business Official Website: https://business.google.com/

Step 2: Click the Blue Color “Sign in” button on the Top Right Corner

Step 3: Sign In to registered Gmail ID and Password or Create a New Google Account

Step 4:  Enter Your Business Name in the Text Box

Step 5: Once the Business Name gets to enter. Click on “Next”

Step 6: Choose Your Preferred Business Category

Step 7: Select “Yes” or “No” if you want customers to visit your store. After selecting the preferred option click “Next”.

Step 8: Enter Your Complete Business Address

• Country
• Street Address
• City Name
• State
• Postal Code

Step 9: Select the suitable option as per your business.

Step 10: Select your targeted areas of business. You can select multiple locations

Step 11: Add your “Business Contact Number” and “Website Address” If available. Else, you can choose:

• I don’t need a website
• Get a free website based on your info

Click Next…

Step 12: Click “Yes” if you want to receive GMB listing recommendations to upgrade your listing. Else select “NO” and click on “Next”

Step 13: Now you are done with the business details you want to appear in the LIVE listing. Next step if to verify your listing so it can appear in the Google Search. Click “Finish” and proceed to the Verification process.

Step 14: Verify Your Business on Google My Business. To verify your Google My Business listing, you need to enter the Business Name/Contact Person Name so you can easily get your GMB verification postcard.

So, fill out the name in the like shared in the highlighted box in below image

Google will send a postcard at your business address which contains 6 Digit verification code. It takes normally 1 week to get the code.

Step 15: Click continue

Step 16: Add Photos of Your Business. Upload them if you have them else you can add later.

And Congratulations!! You are done with creating your first Google My Business listing to increase your business presence online.
